Bio

Evgenia Atanasova – Teneva is a journalist and producer at BNT, author and presenter of journalistic shows, documentaries and articles.

Master of Journalism from the University of St. Kliment Ohridski” and a doctoral student in art history at the National Academy of Arts. She has specialized in Reuters, the BBC, the United Nations, etc.

At the beginning of her career, she worked in the news broadcasts of the national television. She continued as a reporter and presenter in the weekly talk show “Panorama”. During the years at BNT, she was one of the hosts of the daily talk show “Team 4”, author of the talk show “Look who…”. Since 2017, she has also been creator and host of the international politics program “The World is Seven”. In recent years, Evgenia has also been the Chief Producer at BNT.

She has covered events like the war in Bosnia and the Middle East, the transition and accession to the EU and NATO of the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. She is the author of interviews with world politicians, including Lawrence Eagleburger, Manfred Wörner, Sergey Yastrzhembsky, Tansu Ciller, Vuk Draskovic and others. She is the screenwriter of many documentaries, winners of awards at Bulgarian and international festivals.

Since 2005, she has been closely following and presenting to the Bulgarian public the work of the most famous artist of Bulgarian origin – Hristo Yavashev – Christo, with whom she has met and talked many times. She is the author of several documentaries about him and a book dedicated to the Floating Piers project – “Christo, Vlado, Rosen and the Floating Piers”.
