Georgi Karamanev is a journalist, writer, programmer and creator of the “Digital Stories” website, twice winner of the prize in “Technology” category of Dir.bg competition for pure journalism Web Report (2019 and 2021).
Already in his early childhood years, Karamanev became passionate about journalism, and only at the age of 15-16 he started working on interviews for the “Rodna rech” magazine.
He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the Sofia University in the period 2003 – 2007, and in 2005 he joined the team of 24 Hours daily as an intern, where he had the opportunity to gain serious experience and knowledge related to the journalistic profession.
In 2009, he became deputy Editor-in-Chief of “8” magazine, where he ran various columns and authored numerous works in the categories of Society, True Stories, Technologies, Art and Culture, etc.
In the period 2017 – 2019, he completed a number of JavaScript courses at the Software University (SoftUni), where he started his career as a programmer. In this role, he has been working for companies like Prime Holding JSC and OpenPayd, and since 2022 he has been a Front-end Developer at Resolute Software.
Karamanev is known in journalistic and IT circles as an author and programmer who is constantly developing and improving.
In 2021 he created the Digital stories website as his personal blog where he writes two new Digital stories every week – on Tuesdays and Fridays. Thanks to the meaningful and interesting content in the field of Technology, AI, Robotics, Blockchain and much more, the blog is gaining great popularity in Bulgaria.
