Bio

Hristo Hristov is an entrepreneur and investor who started his career as a journalist at Darik Radio. Later he worked for BBC London, and in 2005 he created two of the first news sites in Bulgaria – DarikNews.bg and Gong.bg.

In the period 2013-2019, he was CEO and shareholder of NetInfo, part of the Nova Broadcasting Group, together with Radosvet Radev, with whom they were connected by a number of joint business ventures in the field of the digital economy. He has invested in a number of successful online projects such as Grabo.bg, eBag.bg, Broshura.bg.

Hristo Hristov is on the Board of Directors of the largest entrepreneurs organization – Endeavor, an investment partner in the Eleven fund, a member of the Board of Advisors of the Bulgarian startup organization BESCO, part of the Advisory Board of the Cedar Foundation, a member of the Honorary Trust of the Foundation “International Award of the Duke of Edinburgh – Bulgaria”, mentor at the Founders Institute, as well as on the boards of the investment funds HR Capital, “Doverie – United Holding” and the companies “Convenience” (owner of eBag), “Eight Investments” (owner of Superdoc and Healee), Biodit and others.

As of September 2021, he holds the position of CEO of Darik Radio, after succeeding the late executive director and founder of the media – Radosvet Radev.

Hristo is known in media circles as a person who cares about quality, free and independent journalism, at the same time being open to investments and innovations in every sphere of publishing activity.
